James Nevin charged after burglaries in Deal and Sandwich

A suspected burglar has appeared in court following two crimes in different towns.

A wallet, laptop and other items were reportedly stolen from a property in Dover Road, Sandwich on Monday, July 13.

On Sunday, a house in Thornbridge Road, Deal was reportedly broken into and jewellery, alcohol and cash stolen.

Investigating officers then arrested James Nevin on the day of the second incident.

He has since been charged with two counts of burglary.

Mr Nevin, 44, of no fixed abode, appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday) and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday, August 25.
