A man has died after being hit by a bus.
Police are investigating after the pedestrian was fatally injured in Deal yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the A258 Dover Road shortly after 2pm, after a Stagecoach bus collided with the man.
Police officers and the ambulance service attended the scene between the junctions with Ringwould Road and Ripple Road.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, a man in his sixties was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach said "We can confirm the one of our buses was involved in an incident with a pedestrian on the A258 near Ringwould on Monday afternoon.
“Our heart goes out to the family and loved ones of the gentleman who has died.
"We are assisting the Police investigation in every way we can."
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or has dashcam footage which may assist enquiries, to contact police.
