Man 'pulls out car jack' during altercation in Queen Street, Deal

Eyewitnesses say a driver pulled a car jack from his boot during a daylight altercation in a town centre.

Shoppers were shocked to witness the incident which happened in Deal's Queen Street about 3pm yesterday.

It involved a man in a white Ford car and at least two others on motorcycles.

Onlookers say the driver of the white car pulled a car jack from his boot before using it in a threatening manor.

Staff from Payden's Pharmacy and Appliances For You intervened before all parties left the scene.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 3.04pm on June 20 to Queen Street, Deal, to reports of an altercation between motorists.

"Those involved are reported to have left the scene shortly afterwards.

"Officers attended the scene and enquiries continue to establish the circumstances of the incident."
