Police re-open London Road in Deal after incident involving man

Police have re-opened London Road in Deal after an incident where there were concerns for the welfare of a man.

The emergency service shut the road upon arrival at the scene at 12.30pm.

Eye-witnesses said police appeared to be making negotiations with a man.

Spokesman Nicola Forman said: "Kent Police was called at 12.30pm to London Road, Deal following concerns for the welfare of a man at a private residential property.

"The incident has now been resolved and no arrests have been made."

The fire service attended.
