A woman was taken to hospital following a four car pile up in Station Road in Walmer, yesterday (Wednesday).

The incident at 4.40pm prompted the closure of the road in both directions, and as a result traffic built up on the A258 Dover Road.

One ambulance, two ambulance cars and three police vehicles attended.

Two women were treated for minor injuries and one was taken to the QEQM hospital with bruising on her legs.

Recovery vehicles cleared the wrecked cars and the road was re-opened at about 5.30pm.
