Dan Reid proposes to Kerry Stamp via flying banner thanks to Airads UK at Deal Castle

Not many girls can say they’ve experienced a proposal like this.

But Dan Reid wanted to give partner Kerry Stamp something to remember when he asked her to be his wife - and this afternoon on Deal seafront he certainly achieved it.

He commissioned Simon Moores from Westgate-on-Sea based company Airads UK to fly low over the coast, trailing a banner proposal.

His wording was romantic and caused no confusion: “KERRY, I LOVE U WILL U MARRY ME?"

And having prior warned the East Kent Mercury, we had photographer Matt Bristow there, ready to capture the moment she said yes.

Unmistakable: And she said 'Yes!'

Mr Moores said: “I’ve proposed to well over 100 women before all over the country.”

He flew his Cessna 172 light aircraft low near Deal Castle at 12.30pm, flying in from North Kent so Mr Reid could pop the question in style.

When asked if he knows when the couple will tie the knot, he added: “I don’t have any more involvement - I just fly the plane!”
