Burglary at Co-operative, Beauchamp Avenue, Deal, Benjamin Worton, of Canterbury, charged

A man is to appear in court in connection with a burglary at a supermarket.

Benjamin Worton, 36, and of Caxton Way, Canterbury, was charged on Saturday with carrying out a break-in at the Co-operative Food store in Beauchamp Avenue, Mill Hill, Deal on Friday, May 3.

It was reported that during the burglary, alcohol and a quantity of cash was reported stolen.

Worton was also charged with handling a stolen car.

He appeared in Medway Magistrates Court via virtual link last Saturday and was released on bail to appear at Margate Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 35.
