Vietnamese tour firm 'suspended' after waterfall activity killed Christian Sloan of Deal and two Sheffield sisters

A Vietnamese tour firm has been suspended following a waterfall incident which claimed the lives of three Brits.

Christian Sloan, 25, of Walmer Way, in Walmer, fell to his death on Friday along with sisters Beth Anderson, 24 and Isobel Squire, 19 of Sheffield in South Yorkshire.

They had been canyoning up the the Dantala waterfall in the Lam Dong province.

It is believed the safety equipment they were using had failed.

Mr Sloan had been travelling with his friend James McGlashan since January and the pair had been touring south-east Asia.

National reports suggest that the tour company Dalat Passion has been forced to cease trading and one tour guide is still being questioned by the authorities.

James posted to Facebook on Sunday that the pair had chosen the firm because they were ranked "first on TripAdvisor".

He had hit back at claims they had used an "unofficial" company which did not implement the correct safety guidelines.

James' father, Alan McGlashan flew over to Vietnam yesterday to support his son and help with arrangements to bring back Christian's body.
