Two teenagers arrested following break-in at Prism Technology in Deal

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a raid on a technology store.

Police were called on Saturday morning after Prism Technology in Deal was broken into.

The site in Beauchamp Avenue had seen electrical items and cash stolen, with the devastated shop owner left about £15,000 out of pocket.

Police launched an investigation and two suspects were identified.

On Saturday evening, three off-duty officers spotted the suspects on a train between Deal and Dover. They were then arrested.

One was a 19-year-old man who was also wanted on a court warrant. He has since been transferred to court.

The other was a 16-year-old boy who has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Shop owner Mathew Culver told of his devastation following the break-in.

The 32-year-old explained it was a “kick in the teeth”, adding he was now facing hefty repair costs as well as the stress of being thousands of pounds out of pocket.
