Woman rescued following crash in Mill Road, Deal

A woman was pulled from the wreckage of a car following a smash in Deal.

Police, ambulance and fire services were called to Mill Road at 8.35pm last night after a car and van collided.

A woman had to be rescued from the car before being transferred to a waiting ambulance.

The extent of injuries are not known.

The road was closed until 10.40pm.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 8.30pm on Sunday, September 6 regarding a collision involving a van and a car on Mill Road, Deal.

"Officers, South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene where the occupants of the car received medical attention.

"The road was closed to traffic while emergency services were at the scene and reopened at around 10.40pm."
