Dover 2 Billericay 1

Laurence Ball grabbed the late winner as leaders Dover moved 23 points clear and continue their relentless march toward the Ryman League Premier Division title in front of more than 900 at Crabble on Tuesday.

Defender Ball headed in Sammy Moore's cross 10 minutes from time as the ball squeezed past goalkeeper Tony Tucker, who got a hand to it, but couldn't stop it going in.

The victory capped a good day for the club, after Shaun Welford won his appeal against being sent-off at Margate last month.

James Rogers put Dover in front four minutes after the break, with an excellent 20-yard strike, but centre-back Steve Heffer put the Essex visitors level just past the hour mark, before Ball struck with his third goal of the season to maintain Dover's impressive unbeaten home record.
