Former Gillingham striker Stefan Payne has become Dover manager Chris Kinnear’s first new signing of the summer.
The 22-year-old, who played 27 times for Gills, has signed a one-year deal after joining Whites on a free transfer from AFC Hornchurch.
Payne scored 31 goals in 46 appearances for The Urchins last season.
He started his career at Croydon, before joining Sutton United in 2009, scoring a hat-trick on his debut.
Payne then signed for Fulham in 2009 before Andy Hessenthaler signed him while he was boss of Gills in 2010.
Payne scored one goal in his time at Gills, in the 6–1 win at Hereford in 2011.
He then had spells at Braintree Town, Aldershot Town, Sutton United, Macclesfield Town and Ebbsfleet United before joining Hornchurch last year.
