Dover Athletic sign midfielder Oscar Gobern from Eastleigh

Dover have completed the signing of midfielder Oscar Gobern.

The 28-year-old arrives at Crabble on a two-year deal starting July 1 having made 45 appearances for fellow National League side Eastleigh last season.

He joins on the same day that the club also announced the signing of Will De Havilland from relegated Maidstone United.

Gobern started his career on Southampton's books in 2008, making 27 appearances across all competitions across a spell that also included a short loan with Milton Keynes Dons.

He then made a move to Huddersfield Town in 2011 where he featured 79 times from 2009 onwards amid the club's time in League One and the Championship.

His time with the Yorkshire club also included a brief temporary stint with Chesterfield, before he signed a one-year deal at Queens Park Rangers in August 2015.

This was followed up by periods at Mansfield Town, Scottish outfit Ross County as well as Yeovil, until he was taken to Eastleigh in 2018 by then-Spitfires boss Andy Hessenthaler.

The Englishman has now been reunited with his former manager as the fifth new face to come through the door at Dover this summer.
