Dover Athletic bring back Mitch Brundle to the club as player/assistant manager

Dover Athletic boss Andy Hessenthaler has named his new assistant.

Mitch Brundle has agreed to return to Crabble as player/assistant manager, three years after leaving the club to join Dagenham.

Brundle takes over from Nicky Southall, whose departure was announced last week, but will also play for Dover.

The 27-year-old midfielder was a popular player during his first spell at Crabble, making 99 appearances and scoring 13 goals for Dover.

He left Dagenham last summer to join Barnet on a two-year deal but he left to link up with Farnborough after six months.
