Dover Athletic have secured a pre-season friendly against Premier League new boys Watford.
Whites boss Andy Hessenthaler will face his old club at Crabble on August 6.
Hessenthaler made his name in Watford’s midfield, making 217 appearances in five seasons before joining Gillingham in 1996.
“I have a lot of great memories from my time with Watford and I was delighted to see them get promoted,” Hessenthaler told Dover’s website.
“I think it’s great for us as a club that they are going to send a team down to play us and I am really looking forward to it.”
Whites take on Football League opposition on July 31 when League 2 Stevenage visit Crabble.
Other confirmed friendlies are: July 17 Ashford (home), July 20 Deal (away), July 24 Folkestone (home), August 3 Whitstable (away), August 7 Tonbridge (away).
