Staines v Dover

Dover look to bounce back from their midweek FA Cup defeat as they embark on their FA Trophy campaign on Saturday.

Andy Hessenthaler's men lost 2-0 in a replay at AFC Wimbledon in midweek to end a 11-game unbeaten run.

Whites have been handed a tough draw in the first qualifying round as they face fellow Ryman League, Premier Division side Staines at their Wheatsheaf Park ground.

“The cup draws have been tough and the game isn’t going to be easy,” said Hessenthaler.

“We have to get the boys’ heads up and look to bounce back.”

Hessenthaler played 90 minutes on Tuesday but is likely to bring Alan Pouton back into central midfield for the trip to Staines.
