Dover Athletic's bid to have good FA Cup run starts at Eastbourne Borough in the fourth qualifying round

Dover Athletic won 4-0 at Eastbourne Borough in their Conference South clash in Sussex just over 12 months ago.

Whites boss Chris Kinnear wouldn’t mind history repeating itself when his side head to Priory Lane on Saturday in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Kinnear said: “I’d love to see the same score again, but I’d be happy with a win by any margin to be honest.

“They (Eastbourne) are going well this season (they are currently sixth in Vanarama Conference South), so it won’t be easy – these games never are.

“It’s all-or-nothing on the day and a matter of who delivers on it.”

Two former Whites, striker Elliott Charles and defender Ian Simpemba, are now at Eastbourne so could feature against their former side.

Charles played 33 games for Dover before being released at the end of last season, while Simpemba made 55 appearances before leaving at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Dover enjoyed a good run in the FA Cup last season, reaching the second round where they lost 1-0 at MK Dons.
