BBC Radio 4 Any Questions will go live from Faversham tonight

BBC Radio 4's Any Questions will be broadcast live from Faversham this evening (Friday).

Crews have already been spotted moving their equipment into the Alexander Centre in Preston Street in preparation for the sold-out event.

The topical debate programme, presented by Jonathan Dimbleby, will feature Ukip's only MP Douglas Carswell on tonight's panel.

Others on the panel include former chairman of the BBC Lord Chris Patten, shadow secretary of state for international development Mary Creagh and general secretary of the public and commercial services union Mark Serwotka.

The newly elected mayor of Swale Anita Walker and Faversham town councillors are expected at the event, alongside members of the public ready to pitch their questions to the panel.

Tickets sold out a few weeks ago and are not available on the door.
