A major road has reopened following a multi-vehicle crash.
The A2 London-bound closed between Canterbury Road at Dunkirk to Brenley Corner at Junction 7 of the M2 at Faversham at about 5pm last night (Friday).
It was due to a crash involving a car, van and motorbike.
Drivers faced severe delays following the incident with some saying they were stuck for more than 40 minutes.
Queues from the crash scene tailed back to the Harbledown junction at Canterbury.
It also affected passengers wishing to use Stagecoach bus services on the 3 and X3 services.
They were being diverted via Blean and Thanet Way.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: “We was called at 4.08pm on Friday, November 17 to a collision involving a car, van and motorbike on the A2 near Boughton-under-Blean.
“Patrols attended the London-bound carriageway prior to Brenley Corner, along with paramedics, and the motorcyclist was treated for injuries that were not described as life-threatening.
“He was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.
“The carriageway was closed and then partially reopened until the vehicles were recovered.”
