Flood warnings in Kent highlight Faversham, Sittingbourne and the River Medway

Another flood warning has been issued by the Environment Agency for tonight.

Following yesterday's alerts, warnings have now been put in place for the stretch of coastline between Kemsley and Seasalter, with high tides expected to affect coastal locations.

Faversham and Conyer are likely to be worst hit as the tide coincides with strong winds and waves, and residents have been urged to take action to protect themselves and their property.

Agency staff have been sent to deploy defences in Front Brents in Faversham, with flooding expected to occur between 12.15am and 4.15am tomorrow (Monday).

Other areas with warnings include the River Medway and the Medway Estuary.

Areas particularly affected could include Lower Upnor and around Canal Road in Strood.
