There are long delays on the M2 this morning due to overrunning roadworks

Highways England has confirmed work being carried out between junction 6 for Faversham and junction 7 for Brenley Corner on the coastbound carriageway have taken longer than expected.

The road reopened at around 8.50am and traffic has begun to clear but there are still long delays.

Elsewhere, a broken down vehicle is causing delays on the Sheppey Crossing and people are being diverted to the Kingsferry Bridge.
