A lane was blocked following a six-car crash on the M2.
Police arrived at the scene on the London-bound carriageway between Junction 6 at Faversham and Junction 5 at Sittingbourne just after 5.10pm yesterday.
Traffic in the area was slow until the road was cleared at about 6.50pm.
A police spokesman added: "No injuries were reported but two of the cars needed to be recovered from the scene."
