Sharing the images to her 26.7 million Instagram followers, the Lebanese-American star showcased her trip to the creek and Preston Street.

She is seemingly a fan of the creek's low tide appearance, captioning one story "proper British sea(mud) town".

Bemused followers wrote of their shock at seeing the porn actress in Faversham, with one stating "imagine bumping into her after work".

Another joked: "Go to Carters newsagents its cultural heritage".

Others remarked that she came two weeks too late, having missed the return of the Hop Festival.

Khalifa entered the pornographic industry in 2014 and had a meteoric rise in popularity to become the most-viewed performer in just two months.

She is now a former adult star, having reportedly not shot scenes since 2015.

Khalifa is one of numerous well-known names to crop up in the county recently, with Ronnie Wood, Aaron Paul and Domonic West among those to visit in recent months.

Last summer, Bradley Walsh spent time in Faversham filming for The Larkins - with the town being given a 1950s makeover.

Last month, outside Faversham, Belmont House played host to the Antiques Roadshow team as BBC crews filmed an upcoming episode of the long-running show.

Faversham is no stranger to attracting interest from the outside world, with its idyllic appearance, numerous historic buildings and meandering creek.
