Faversham Town moved top of Ryman League Division 1 South on Tuesday night when they thrashed Walton & Hersham 5-0 at Salters Lane.

Jack Harris scored twice for Ray Turner's side and there were also goals for Renford Tenyue, Dean Grant and Matt Bourne.

Faversham are two points clear of second-placed Burgess Hill Town - who have three games in hand.

There were eight goals at Woodstock Park, where Sittingbourne beat Redhill 5-3.

Goals from Tom Brunt, Elie Kayembe and Olalekan Bankole had the Brickies 3-1 up at half-time and George Crimmen and Jono Richardson got in on the act after the restart.

That win leaves Bourne seventh, just a point outside the play-off places.

Margate drew 1-1 at Wingate & Finchley in the Premier Division, a Luke Moore goal earning them a point to move them two clear of title rivals Maidstone United.

Meanwhile, in the Kent Senior Cup, Dover Athletic were beaten 3-1 at home by Folkestone Invicta.

Ian Draycott and Nat Blanks scored in the first half at Crabble and Invicta keeper Tim Roberts saved a Barry Cogan penalty after the restart.

A bad night for Dover got worse when Sean Raggett was sent-off for conceding a penalty which Draycott converted to make it 3-0.

Greg Rutherford netted a consolation goal on his Whites debut but Folkestone cruised into the quarter-finals.
