Abandoned trailer in Hawkinge found with suspected stolen diesel

Police are investigating after patrols found suspected stolen fuel in an abandoned trailer in Hawkinge.

Officers from Kent Police's Shepway Community Policing Team were conducting a proactive patrol in the town when they came across the scene in a field off Aerodrome Road this morning.

A quantity of diesel, thought to have been stolen, was found inside.

The team shared the find on their Twitter page.

The trailer has been seized and enquiries remain ongoing.
