Police confirmed that the officers were responding to reports that a man in a car had been seen holding a weapon in the nearby West Terrace area.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences, and quantities of suspected Class A and B drugs have been seized along with cash and mobile phones.

However, no weapon has been located as of yet.
