Woman arrested after man treated for stab wound in attack near Canterbury Road in Folkestone

A woman was taken into custody after a man was treated for a stab wound following a late night attack.

Police launched an investigation into the altercation, which happened in an area off Canterbury Road, in Folkestone.

Officers remained at the scene overnight Tuesday, while an alley way was cordoned off.

Paramedics were called to the scene and treated a man who sustained a wound from a knife.

A woman, in her 30s, was arrested and taken into custody. She has since been released on police bail until May 8.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 11.47pm on Tuesday, April 23, to a private address in the area of Canterbury Road, Folkestone following a report of an altercation.

"A man sustained an injury consistent with a knife wound and was treated at the location by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"A woman, who is known to the victim, was arrested at the scene.

"Officers continue to carry out enquiries into the incident."
