Border Force officer arrested in Folkestone during National Crime Agency ecstasy investigation

A 40-year-old Border Force officer has been arrested after a probe was launched into the alleged supply of ecstasy tablets.

The man was apprehended in Folkestone yesterday by officers from the National Crime Agency's anti-corruption unit on suspicion of supplying class A drugs and misconduct in a public office.

He was later questioned, before being released on bail pending further enquiries.

A spokesman for the NCA said: "The investigation, which was carried out in partnership with Border Force, involved the alleged supply of ecstasy tablets."
