A woman was charged with drink-driving after a car knocked down a telegraph pole.

it happened at Risborough Lane, Folkestone, shortly before 6pm yesterday.

Kent Police spokesman Steve Knight said: “Kent Police was called at 5.58pm after a car was involved in a collision with a telegraph pole in Risborough Lane.

“The pole was knocked down in the incident but was later removed by engineers.”

Kent Police say that Janine Brown, 46, of St Martin’s Road, Folkestone, has been charged with drink-driving and bailed to appear before Folkestone magistrates on November 2.
