Fire on beach at Folkestone between Rotunda site and Sandgate put out by firefighters

Firefighters were called to put out a blaze on the beach at Folkestone last night.

They were called to the unattended fire between the Rotunda site and Sandgate, at 7.50pm.

A spokesman from Folkestone fire station said: “Someone had lit a fire and then left it burning.

“We put it out quite quickly and there were no problems.”
