Heroin haul worth £16,000 found in car at Channel Tunnel

A stash of heroin worth £16,000 was found hidden behind a car dashboard by police.

Officers at the Channel Tunnel stopped a car in the early hours of Thursday when they discovered 1.6 kilos of the Class A drug.

A total of two men were arrested and were due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday after being remanded in custody.

Selim Sopa, 35 and 38-year-old Destan Dautaj from East London were charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
