Police are looking for witnesses after receiving several reports of sexual assaults in a town centre street last night.

They had been told that a man allegedly indecently exposed himself and touched several women at bars in Tontine Street, Folkestone.

Officers attended the scene and located and arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the incident.

He remains in custody while inquiries continue.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Ally Franks said: “We believe there may be further victims that we would like to speak to, so I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or believe they may have been assaulted to get in touch.”
