Man found with serious injuries in Sandgate, Folkestone

A man has been taken to hospital after being found with serious injuries.

Police were called after the victim was found walking by the roadside in Folkestone.

The man, in his 20s, was reported to be walking along Wilberforce Road in Sandgate at around 3.45pm yesterday.

He was taken to the William Harvey hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Officers are now appealing for information after the incident.

PC Paul Wilson said: "It is suspected the man may have been assaulted but a number of inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.

"We would like to hear from anyone who saw the man or has any information as to how he came by his injuries."
