Man standing on roof in West Terrace, Folkestone, arrested

A 39-year-old man has been arrested after he was spotted on the roof of a building.

Police were called at 4.45pm on Sunday to reports of a man standing on a roof in West Terrace, Folkestone.

They cordoned off adjacent Sandgate Road, and with the help of fire crews, managed to get the man back down to the ground.

He was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a building and remains in police custody.
