Folkestone: Man stabbed on his doorstep

A man suffered stab wounds when two men wearing balaclavas forced their way into his home demanding money.

It happened outside the man's home in Cheriton Road, Folkestone, at about 1.20am on Tuesday.

The victim, who suffered "cuts" to his hands and side, refused to let them in and he was reportedly "assaulted" with a knife.

A police spokesman said: "This continued outside his address and the victim suffered cuts to his hands and his side.

"The men ran away and the victim was later taken to hospital for medical treatment."

The victim, 33, who does not want to be named, was taken to East Grinstead Hospital where his hand was operated on, Kent Online can confirm.

He is now recovering.
