Two men hospitalised in Lyminge house fire

Two men have been taken to hospital following a house fire.

Two crews were called to the property in Canterbury Road, Lyminge, near Folkestone just after 3pm today.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the home, which was heavily smoke logged.

A man in his 40s and a man in his 70s were both treated for the effects of smoke inhalation at the scene.

Both have now been taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

Crews left the scene after 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire is not known.
