Pedestrian taken to hospital after crash involving car on A260 Tram Road, Folkestone

A main road has been closed off after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Emergency services have been called alongside the air ambulance to the A260 in Folkestone.

Police and paramedics remain at the scene between Tram Road and Martello Road.

The pedestrian was treated for injuries before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for more treatment.

A Peugeot on the road has been pictured with damage to the front passenger side.

A police spokesman confirmed their attendance at around 3.50pm following a report of a collision in Tram Road, Folkestone.
