Person treated for smoke inhalation after flats fire in The Parade in Folkestone

A person was treated smoke inhalation after a second floor flats fire.

Firefighters were called to The Parade in Folkestone about 5pm last night to reports of the blaze in a terrace property used as flats.

Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the flames.

One person suffering the effects of smoke inhalation was treated with oxygen therapy.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
