The victim, who is in her 30s, was attacked by a man in Payers Park around 12.30am.

A second man was also present. Both are described as being young and possibly teenagers.

Detective Chief Inspector Gavin Moss said: "We understand this may cause concern for the public but believe this to be an isolated incident.

"We are following numerous lines of enquiry and would like to hear from anyone who was in the Payers Park area late on the night of Tuesday 22 October and during the early hours of the following day.

"They are likely to have important information that can assist us and I would urge them to contact us as soon as possible.

"Likewise, we are keen to obtain dash cam footage from anyone who may have been driving in the general area at the time."
