A man has been arrested after cash was stolen during a robbery at a mobile bank branch.

Police were called to the incident in Church Road, New Romney, at 11am this morning.

Officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries.

A police spokesperson said a man has been arrested in connection with the incident and no injuries were reported.

According to witnesses, a NatWest mobile van has been taped off by police.

NatWest has been approached for a comment.
