Police probe mobile phone scam

MOBILE phone owners in Kent are being warned that if they receive a text message asking them to call KB urgently on 09011 500065 they should ignore it.

The number is a premium line charging £5 per minute and callers get nothing more than a fake engaged tone when they dial the number. They get charged every time they try to get through.

Shepway police at Folkestone said that the scam was being investigated by a team of officers.
