Firefighters were called at 10.27am yesterday (Friday) and spent around an hour and a half tackling the blaze.

Students were evacuated during the emergency.

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Two fire engines attended, and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames that had spread to a curtain.

“There were no reported injuries.”

The school has been asked for comment.
