Road closed after car hits pedestrian in Capel-Le-Ferne near Folkestone

A road remains closed this evening after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to Capel-Le-Ferne, near Folkestone, following the accident just after 5pm.

Police shut New Dover Road while paramedics attended to the victim.

As of 9pm, the road remained closed from Winehouse Lane to Alexandra Road.

A police spokesman confirmed they were called at around 5.05pm after a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in New Dover Road at Capel-Le-Ferne.

South East Coast Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.

The condition of those involved has not been revealed.
