Suspected migrant cases in Lower Sandgate Road, Folkestone and Samphire Hoe near Dover

Two new migrant cases have been reported in Folkestone and Dover.

Police were called to Samphire Hoe in Dover at around 8am following a report of suspected migrants on the beach.

Officers are also in Lower Sandgate Road, Folkestone following a report of a boat on the beach at around 8.20am.

The Home Office confirmed that officers were dealing with the incident.

A spokesman said: "Border Force is currently dealing with an ongoing incident after a small boat landed on the Kent coast near Dover. Further details will be provided once the situation has been resolved."

The force has sinced confirmed a boat was found in Folkestone and the migrants were found in Dover.

Three people from the UK have been arrested.
