Eleven bus services in east Kent are set to be either completely axed or reduced next week, as Stagecoach continues to slash costs.
The routes in Folkestone and Hythe, as well as the Dover district, are being changed from Sunday (September 3).
Services which are being completely cut include the number 70, which runs between Shorncliffe and Folkestone town centre, as well as the 16a which goes between Grebe Crescent in Hythe and Folkestone.
Hythe will also no longer be served by the number 16 bus, which travels between Folkestone, Hawkinge and Canterbury.
Also in Folkestone and surrounding areas, the number 74 and 75 buses will no longer serve Holywell Avenue while the 73, which travels between Hawkinge, Park Farm and Folkestone town centre, will stop running on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
The timetable for the 10 and 10a, which runs between Folkestone and Ashford, will see some changes, and will also stop running on Bank Holidays as well as Sundays. They will no longer serve Lympne – except at school times.
The 16b service will also be renumbered as the 974, and some route numbers will also change on the number 19 which runs between Swingfield, Hawkinge, Folkestone and Brockhill School.
In the Dover district, Elvington is losing the use of the school-time 95 bus which runs between Aylesham, Nonington and Sandwich Technology School.
The number 43, which runs between Deal and Canterbury, via Sandwich, at school times on a Wednesday will no longer operate.
The 102 which runs between Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, New Romney and Lydd, will also stop going to and from Rye.
There will be more buses however traveling the Deal, Walmer, Whitfield, Canterbury route, which is operated by the number 12 bus.
There will also be adjustments to timetables for buses 81, 82, 84, and 85, 88, 89 and 89B.
Earlier this year KentOnline reported on Wye bus users’ fury at their loss of all services with many residents being left in limbo over how they would travel from August 13 when the changes were made.
Other services in Ashford were also amended earlier this month with the frequency of some being reduced.
In June, it was revealed the bus depot in Folkestone could shut in September with operations transferred to its bases in Dover and Ashford.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach said the number of people travelling on their buses has “reduced significantly”.
“Reducing services goes against our instinct as a bus operator but post-pandemic the number of people travelling on our services has reduced significantly,” they said.
“We will always aim to bring buses to as many people as possible, but with rising costs and fewer passengers, we must review and adapt our network to ensure we are providing a sustainable and commercially viable network to protect our core connections.
“By making these changes now we hope to secure the long-term sustainability of bus services for the local community.”
