Channel Tunnel trains cancelled causing delays to Eurostar, Eurotunnel and M20 traffic

Trains through the Channel Tunnel are running again after many services were cancelled, causing problems for passengers, freight, and drivers on Kent's roads.

A power problem inside the tunnel caused major problems on the network meaning Eurostar and Eurotunnel services have huge delays of up to six hours for freight.

Lorries are facing a 90-minute wait for check-in and a further four-and-a-half hour wait on the Channel Tunnel Terminal.

Passengers are facing a three-hour wait.

Lorries are beginning to tailback along the M20 at junction 11a at the Folkestone terminal but the motorway is still flowing normally.

Passengers have been advised to delay their journey by amending their ticket online or by contacting Eurotunnel on 03457 35 35 35.
