Travellers at Folkestone West railway station evicted by bailiffs and police

Travellers who pitched up in a public car park next to a railway station over Christmas have been evicted by bailiffs.

British Transport Police officers were at Folkestone West station this morning supporting land sheriffs and bailiffs removing a number of caravans set up in the car park.

It comes after Folkestone and Hythe District Council assured that 'appropriate action' would be taken.
