A20 closed at Folkestone for emergency work to Round Hill Tunnel cameras

Emergency repairs have forced a tunnel to be closed on the A20.

Motorists are being diverted off the dual carriageway at Folkestone as urgent repairs to the cameras in the Round Hill Tunnel are carried out.

The coastbound carriageway is closed from junction 13 of the M20 at the Castle Hill interchange and the A260 Spitfire Way junction.

Highways England said traffic is being diverted off the A20 at the Castle Hill junction.

The diversion is along the A20, A259 Churchill Avenue, A260 Canterbury Way and along to the Spitfire Way junction before rejoining the A20 to continue to Dover.
