Men arrested after disturbance outside Folkestone Magistrates’ Court

Two men have been arrested following a disturbance outside a court building.

The incident happened next to Folkestone Magistrates Court in Castle Hill Avenue at about 1.25pm today.

Police were called and arrested the men, who remain in custody, on suspicion of affray.

Officers were seen outside the courthouse, after being called to the incident which reportedly took place along Bouverie Road West - the same street the town’s police station is in.

A spokesman for the force said: “Officers attended a disturbance in Bouverie Road West, Folkestone, at 1.25pm today.

“Two men were arrested on suspicion of affray and remain in police custody.”
