Man attacked near The Leas, Folkestone

Police are appealing for the public's help after a man was attacked.

The victim, who is in his 40, was walking down steps opposite a hotel in The Leas, Folkestone, at around 11.30pm on July 2.

He stopped on the steps, which lead to Sandgate Road, to sit on a bench when he was approached by the suspect.

The man didn’t say anything to him before carrying out the assault, which left him with two cuts to his face and one to his finger.

The victim described the suspect as a white man, mid to late 20s, slim and around 5ft 10ins tall.

He was wearing a black hooded top, black jogging bottoms and had a dark stubbly beard.
